It's a million to one We wake up Through the sting of our bloodshot eyes Feel the weight of the life around us Through the fog of disease and mistrust Burn it to the ground or fight for fuckin' years to fix it Speak for yourself Is this better than hell or is Earth just a life raft for the dull and not-quite-dead-yet Day to day I'll give you different answers It's a million to one We wake up Through the sting of our blood-soaked hearts Consciousness is the waking universe Hope it likes staring at earnings reports It woke up for this Incessant clicking fingertips Speak for yourself This is better than hell Safe and sound in my air conditioned home Speak for yourself You've got stories to tell Just in time for the Cave In

I plunge my hands into the sea Of disappointments over decades Drowning all my dreams The salt, it fills my seams Cleanses aspirations And my lust for heights forever out of Reach out and grab that golden ring Don't make apologies for things that never happened with your dreams You know there isn't room for us all Yeah Won't make apologies For things so far beyond control Well at least you didn't fail alone This time I do it for myself Get on board or go to hell Over the years I lost my evidence of ever being heard Paired down my expectations to the thinnest Of ambitions Sunk my teeth into the bone Backing down from ever leaving Your father knows just where you are Your mother stands there crying This time we do it for ourselves Get on board or go to hell

Flak Cannon 04:12
You claim to miss my presence there Bait sympathy with your limp despair After seven years I guessed The gears were turning in your fuckin' head But I don't think so I don't see it You joined a cult Betrayed your reason Then assumed it would be the same Collapsed in on yourself All your red-pilled edgelord friends And your yes-man Shouting at the void We're masculine Fragile dipshits playing pretend And I'm as done as I could be Reaching out was borderline embarrassing And I'm as done as I can be You got nothin' to gain Nothin' to prove Nothin' left to do But go away Whoa-oh How am I supposed to give a shit When everything you stand for makes me Sick And where were you on the sixth? You took your legacy Dragged it through a river of shit Your development wasn't arrested It died when you were a kid There's culture beyond the 80s And nostalgia is a ditch You gave in to the worst of your instincts Let your daddy issues turn you into a Bitch

Disbelief 04:34
Slept through the first six months Alone in that apartment Dissociated while the vapor choked the guilt Glass shards stuck in my carpet Hiding from disease in darkness The life I'd waste seemed present in the trees I've always been a safe bet to break I've always been a safe bet to break I shut out my brothers And cut out most others I know it's been a long time to wait Even when it was the world at stake I shut out my brothers And that's so much to forgive Over time became afraid Of voices on the stairs And in the hallways As always I've got a lot to say But no solutions Just excuses to make Disbelief seems to be the common theme I should've been there for you Not hiding up in Michigan I should've been there for you Not hiding behind distances
5.
Spring Grove 04:10
Traits you know I've outgrown Seed a new regression Feeling so familiar and young They'll sing along Western coast ain't mid enough Who is this in my mirror I'm all alone in here These nights will terrify My bed's alive with fear That kept me up so long Kept me up so long Isolation 'til she's done Six more months Killing time never felt like murder Calmly tell HR about your anger And loneliness Don’t forget your signature And a log of all expenditures Six more months Going under Losing grip Oh Spill out all the reasons that we cry Try to joke about it Like are we gonna die Stare at our laptops Pixels and hum Try to speak up Your voice is evening sun Tell me all the reasons that you cry Everyone around you knows what this feels like Pulling you under Pushing you through What's there to do
